JOB SUMMARY


This position exists to serve as the face of Elexco, Inc. in a corporate development capacity and to bring the Company to a new level of visibility in the industry.  The successful Associate will need to be truly passionate about the construction industry.  

This position has a key role in the strategic growth plan by developing new and strengthening existing relationships and opportunities and by establishing the overall direction of business development for the Company.  This individual will be responsible for implementing and carrying out strategic initiatives as well as ensuring customers have a positive experience, identifying areas of improvement, and facilitating problem solving efforts.

The individual in this position will collaborate with other key members to continue to build momentum and strengthen the health of the Company.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


1) Develop the strategic business development plan, tactics, and resources necessary to achieve the

Company’s vision and goals
2) Set sales goals, implement processes to achieve goals, and meet budget expectations
3) Oversee and provide direction to market/competitor research/analysis including identifying and tracking market trends; managing Company’s marketing effectiveness based on research to continuously improve and stay abreast of trends (website, clothing, image, special events, tradeshows, organizations, etc.)
4) Understand Elexco’s capabilities (both current and future) and position Elexco accordingly to capitalize within the respective markets and trends
5) Responsible for development and management of new and existing business opportunities and relevant activities including but not limited to: 
    * All aspects of identification, qualification, and customer due-diligence
    * Identify and develop partnering and teaming opportunities
    * Generate leads and develop new business opportunities through networking, establishing relationships with client    contacts, customer/prospects, and organizations and industry groups    
    * Facilitate the  bid process between project management and customer
    * Proposal presentation with assistance from project m
    * Work with project mgr to max value of project and create a great experience; monitor project process through project management from start to successful completion
    * Post bid and post project analysis with project mgr; strive for continual improvement
    * Maintain relations and manage future bid/project opportunities
6) Position the Company for sustainability within the market (consistent backlog)
7) Participate in industry related conferences, exhibitions, associations, and functions
8) Responsible for other duties as warranted to accomplish our goals, live our mission, and serve our clients, fellow associates, community, and stockholders to the fullest


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


1) 10+ years of construction experience or business development experience in construction or a transferable industry; business development or construction experience required
2) Valid Driver’s License from the state of residency; able to drive interstate
3) Associate or Technical School Degree
4) Computer proficient in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and Power Point
5) Working knowledge of blueprints, contracts, and review/present proposals
6) Able to interpret and apply Safety Plans
7) Able to obtain certifications that may be beneficial such as OSHA 30 Certification
