Field Project Coordinator

The Ideal Candidate Possesses: (Note: open to training the right person who is organized, computer savvy, and ideally construction knowledgeable with hands on experience):

  • High level of understanding of commercial construction processes  
    combined with the ability to understand, and troubleshoot construction 
    applications as needed
  • A high level of fiduciary responsibility setting fiscal goals in regards to project 
    margins, volume and job cost
  • Ability to read blueprints, interpret contracts, and prepare proposals
  • Utility experience, specifically medium/high voltage electrical knowledge
  • Field experience in the wind tower industry a plus
  • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of safe and effective operation of heavy equipment
  • Ability to complete detailed paperwork on a daily basis
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Primary Responsibilities: 

The Field Project Coordinator will assist with field operational documentation, including safety, employee management, vendor relations, subcontractor management, and material coordination.  

This role will be located at field assignments throughout the US and could require up to 90% travel.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience and a strong understanding of project coordination responsibilities to include safety, daily/weekly/monthly reporting, troubleshooting as needed and communication with general contractor and management. Also, strong skills in computer applications including Outlook and Microsoft Office are required. Timberline accounting and estimating experience is a plus.

 

Heavy Equipment Operator

Key Criteria:

  • Extensive Travel, much will be out of town. We go to where the job is.
  • Experience should include most of or majority of (Class A CDL required):  CDL trucks, wheeled loaders, dozers, compactors, excavators, tractor loaders, skid steer, and other pieces of equipment.
    Responsibilities of the position will include:  Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, and efficient completion of tasks.

 

Job Knowledge Requirements:

  • Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
  • Operation of all company equipment listed above
  • Knowledge of all equipment loading/tie-down requirements
  • Equipment maintenance and storage
  • Knowledge of utility construction techniques
  • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
  • Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures
  • Completion of daily paperwork


Elexco employs “working” operators.  Our team oriented company values each position and without each individual we would not have the success we have shown to date.  If an operator is finished with their duties as an operator their duties then become the next task that needs to be done that day, this could range from laying PVC to assisting with a shovel or the Project Manager or VP.

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience with 5 + years in the construction field ideal
  • Class A CDL required
  • Ability to read blue prints for job layout a plus
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
  • Computer skills basic a strong plus
  • This role will include field assignments throughout the United States. The length of projects can vary between a few days to a year; length ranges vary based on project scope; flexibility is essential

 

Concrete Foreperson

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, coordinate, and direct all production operations and team Associates to ensure efficient, effective, completion of activities/projects
  • Foster an environment where safety is a core goal; the team is operating, maintaining compliance, adhering to Company policies and procedures as well as environmental and applicable local and federal regulations
  • Ensure project is on time and on budget

Significant travel required, around 75%; flexibility is essential. 

 

The Successful Foreperson:

  • High school degree or equivalent GED required
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands on, well rounded experience in construction with concrete, equipment operation, and field management experience required; focus in concrete form and flat work required
  • Experience in underground electrical/communication construction and working knowledge of welding a plus
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, organization, and team building skills required; past supervisory experience a strong plus
  • OSHA, First Aid/CPR or other relevant certifications a plus
  • Valid Class A CDL with fedmed required
  • Basic Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required; advanced a plus
  • Project management experience a strong plus
