Elexco, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance and accounting professional to provide financial leadership as the Controller or Chief Financial Officer. Headquartered in Seymour, Wisconsin, Elexco’s team is a family of high quality construction professionals building infrastructure in Wisconsin and throughout the United States. Elexco is seeking candidates who are looking for an opportunity to grow into a senior leadership role or a senior financial leader. Ideal candidates for the role of Controller will have a minimum of five years of experience in financial services and accounting management. Candidates for the role of Chief Financial Officer will have a minimum of ten years of experience in financial operations and accounting management, with at least five years in a senior role within an organization. All candidates must have a degree in accounting, finance, business management, or equivalent professional experience and certifications, and a comprehensive understanding of GAAP.
Controller/CFO Candidates will be:
- Experienced financial professionals able to lead the financial and accounting functions, system controls, and standards
- Individuals who exemplify the highest level of ethics, prudence, and confidentiality in managing financial operations
- Dynamic leaders, who demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Proficient in financial planning and budgeting processes, driving strategic planning
- Collaborative, working closely with the President and the Leadership team to positively impact the organization
- Knowledgeable in management of budgets and able to analyze financial reports, recognize favorable or unfavorable trends, recommend actions and implement recommendations
- Skilled in cost accounting, knowledgeable in maintaining contract schedules, asset protection
- Proficient at managing multiple priorities for multiple organizations effectively
- Tech savvy, proficient in Sage 300 CRE, Microsoft 365, and innovative software technologies that drive efficiency and productivity
- Experienced leaders to support the team in key accounting functions to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, adherence to standard accounting practices, and to identify opportunities for process improvement
- Able to develop and foster critical relationships with clients and vendors, and professional services providers
- Experienced with management of the daily accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
Commensurate with the experience of the selected candidate, the Controller or CFO will have a unique opportunity to provide leadership to and become a key factor in the growth and development of Elexco, Inc. and partner organizations. This role works directly with the President on a regular basis on projects and in planning.
